History After twenty-seven years in the executive search industry, Frank X. McCarthy, a diversity recruiting and candidate research pioneer, sold Xavier Associates, the company he founded in 1973. He established Diverse Workplace Inc. in 2004 to continue his work in diversity recruiting and candidate research. Frank was a Catholic priest in the Diocese of Paterson, NJ. He served in the U.S. Army as a paratrooper chaplain with tours in Korea, Japan, and the 101st Airborne Division. He later became pastor of an inner- city parish in Paterson where he was involved in many projects in the African American and Latino communities. In 1970, he joined the U.S. Office of Economic Opportunity in Boston. Frank received an M.Ed. in Counseling Psychology from Boston College. He is a former President of the Massachusetts Professional Placement Consultants. It is part of the Great Falls of Paterson- Garrett Mountain National Natural Landmark.  The Great Falls of the Passaic River in Paterson, are the second-highest large-volume falls on the East Coast of the United States.
